Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Armscor Bursary:

·         Be a South African citizen.

·         Demonstrate a keen interest in working within the defence industry.

·         Achieve excellent academic results, particularly levels 5, 6, or 7 in Mathematics, Physical Science, and English.

·         Be currently studying or intending to study in one of the specified fields at a recognised South African tertiary institution.

Application Process

To apply for the Armscor Bursary, candidates must prepare and submit a comprehensive application package. The following supporting documents are required:

·         A certified copy of the applicant’s ID document.

·         If in Matric, certified copies of mid-year results.

·         If Matric has been completed, a certified copy of the final Matric certificate.

·         Certified copies of the applicant’s full academic record (if currently at tertiary level).

·         Certified copies of parent(s) or guardian(s) ID documents.

·         Proof of parent(s) or guardian(s) income, such as pay slips, an employment letter, or a SASSA grant letter. Informal traders should provide an affidavit.

·         If applicable, a certified copy of the death certificate for deceased parent(s).

Applicants shortlisted for the bursary will also need to submit the following additional documents during the final selection stages:

·         Certified copy of final Matric results.

·         University acceptance letter or proof of registration.

·         Student number.

·         Fees statement, if already enrolled at a tertiary institution.

Closing Date

The application deadline for the 2025 Armscor Bursary is 28 February 2025. Late applications will not be accepted, and applicants are advised to ensure that all required documents are included to avoid disqualification.
