Job Description

Africa Talent by Deloitte is seeking highly motivated graduates who are passionate about sustainability and eager to make a meaningful impact. As entry-level graduates, they will contribute to the Sustainability practice by engaging in client projects, conducting research, and assisting in the delivery of assurance services. Their primary focus will be supporting companies in achieving compliance with CSRD and other ESG regulations. 

This role requires graduates to develop a strong understanding of the ESG reporting regulatory landscape and assurance standards, while also bringing innovative ideas and solutions to clients. Their work will not only contribute to business success but also drive positive societal change. Key Responsibilities 

Graduates in this role will work closely with engagement teams to deliver tailored sustainability solutions to clients, using their creativity, analytical skills, and passion for excellence. Their responsibilities include:  

- Assisting clients in understanding and complying with evolving sustainability legislation and frameworks, such as CSRD and the EU Taxonomy.  

- Supporting the development of compliant and value-driven reporting frameworks, including conducting CSRD gap assessments, double materiality assessments, KPI development, and improving ESG ratings.  

- Engaging in discussions with team members and clients to identify ESG risks, impacts, and opportunities, while preparing supporting materials for different project phases.  

- Analysing both quantitative ESG data sets and qualitative sustainability targets, policies, and action plans.  

- Providing direct support to assurance teams, ensuring that disclosed ESG information aligns with reporting standards.  

- Contributing to external and internal meetings by preparing structured overviews using professional formats such as emails, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel factsheets.
