 Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Hulamin Bursary 2025, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

- Applicants must be South African citizens from previously disadvantaged backgrounds and must reside in Pietermaritzburg or its surrounding areas. 

- Only students pursuing their first degree are eligible.

- Grade 12 students must meet the following academic requirements:  

  - For an engineering degree: A minimum B symbol in Mathematics (Higher Grade), Physical Science (Higher Grade), and English.  

  - For an accounting degree: A minimum B symbol in Accountancy and English.    

- Applicants must meet the entry requirements of a recognised university for their chosen field of study.
