Bursary Coverage

The DSAC bursary provides financial assistance up to a maximum of R110,000 per student. The coverage includes:

- Tuition Fees: Full coverage of study fees.

- Books: Full coverage of the cost of prescribed books.

- Electronic Devices: Up to R10,000 for devices such as laptops, reimbursed upon submission of receipts or invoices from three quotations.

- Accommodation: Up to R50,000, where applicable.

- Meals: Up to R18,500, where applicable.

- Transportation: Up to R10,000, where applicable.

Funds are disbursed directly to the higher education institution on behalf of the student.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the DSAC bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.

- Age: Not older than 40 years.

- Academic Performance: Must demonstrate outstanding or satisfactory academic performance.

- Field of Study: Must be enrolled in a heritage-related field as specified above.

- Employment Status: Should not be employed full-time by government, state agencies, or the private sector with a salary exceeding R130,000 per annum.

- Other Bursaries: Applicants who are beneficiaries of other bursaries are not eligible for this bursary.
