About the Bursary Programme
The EY CA Stream University Bursary Programme is designed to support talented and ambitious students who are pursuing a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. This bursary aims to alleviate the financial burden of university studies, allowing students to focus on their academic and professional development. Recipients of the bursary will also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and insights into the world of professional services through EY’s vacation work programme. Bursaries are awarded to individuals who show a strong commitment to becoming a Chartered Accountant and have an academic record that suggests they can achieve this goal, with financial need also taken into account. In return for the bursary, recipients must work at EY for the duration of their training contract, which lasts a minimum of three years.
There are two types of bursaries available
1. Academic Merit with Financial
Need Bursary: This bursary provides comprehensive financial support, which can
include coverage for tuition fees, accommodation, textbooks, and meals,
tailored to the applicant’s financial situation. It is designed to assist
students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need.
2. Academic Merit Bursary: This
bursary offers partial funding specifically for tuition fees. It is awarded
based solely on academic performance, recognizing students who have achieved
outstanding results.
