Eligibility Requirements

1. Priority is given to South
African residents, although individuals from SADC countries are also eligible.
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) comprises Angola, Botswana,
Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi,
Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and
Zimbabwe.
2. Pursuing a qualification in
one of the specified road transport fields is mandatory.
3. Enrolment at a recognized and
accredited tertiary institution in South Africa (University, University of
Technology, or equivalent) is required.
4. Endorsement of the application
by the appropriate academic authority at the chosen tertiary institution is
essential.
5. National Diploma students must
have successfully completed their first semester (S1) exams.
6. Degree students must have
passed their first-year exams.
7. Preference is given to
individuals studying at advanced levels (MTech, MSc, or higher), although
undergraduate students are also encouraged to apply.
8. Full-time students are
preferred, but part-time and distance learning students are also eligible.
9. Employees of SARF member
organizations are given priority.
10. Intent to pursue a career
within the South African road transport industry after graduation is required.
