SANRAL Bursaries 2025
SANRAL wants to help students
learn more by giving them bursaries. These bursaries are for students who are
good at their studies and want to learn important things. They aim to help
students go to college and study important subjects. Here's a guide to
understanding SANRAL Bursaries for 2025.
About SANRAL
The South African National Roads
Agency Limited (SANRAL) is a state-owned enterprise responsible for the
management, maintenance, and development of South Africa's national road
network. With a vision of ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient road
infrastructure system, SANRAL plays an important role in enhancing economic
growth and social development across the country.
Fields of Study
The program extends its support
to studies across multiple disciplines crucial to SANRAL's functions, extending
beyond the realm of engineering. It offers limited bursaries for both
undergraduate and postgraduate studies in fields such as Human Resources, Civil
Engineering, Finance, Electronic Engineering, and Supply Chain &
Procurement.
In order to maximize support for
students, SANRAL implements a 'Means Test' for all applicants to assess
individual circumstances and determine the level of assistance that can be
provided. While every effort is made to cover all expenses, there may be
instances where a contribution from the applicant's family is required.
Bursary Coverage
The outcome of the Means Test
dictates whether SANRAL offers a full or partial bursary.
Full Bursary:
SANRAL's full bursary covers a
comprehensive range of expenses, including:
- Registration and tuition fees
at the chosen tertiary institution.
- Accommodation costs, ensuring a
conducive living environment for students.
- Provision of study materials
and necessary equipment to support academic endeavours.
- Financial support for food
expenses, ensuring students can maintain a healthy diet conducive to their
studies.
Partial Bursary:
For those who qualify for a
partial bursary, SANRAL provides support for:
- Registration and tuition fees,
alleviating the financial burden associated with academic expenses.
- Accommodation costs,
contributing towards a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Access to wellness programs
aimed at promoting the physical and mental well-being of students.
Future Plans:
SANRAL is committed to expanding
its support services to students in the future. Planned initiatives include:
- Tutoring services to enhance
academic performance and provide additional support to students.
- Assistance with obtaining
learner's and driver's licenses, facilitating personal and professional
development.
Through these comprehensive
support mechanisms, SANRAL aims to empower students to pursue their academic
aspirations without the burden of financial constraints, ultimately fostering a
generation of skilled professionals poised to contribute to South Africa's
development.
