The TFG Yes Learnership programme (All Provinces)
About TFG South Africa
The Foschini Group (TFG) is one of
South Africa’s largest retail groups, with a diverse portfolio of brands that
cater to a wide range of consumer needs. Established in 1924, TFG has grown
from a single store in Johannesburg to a multinational corporation with over
3,000 outlets across various countries, including South Africa, the United
Kingdom, and Australia. The company operates several well-known brands such as
Foschini, Markham, Totalsports, and @home, each specializing in different
segments of the retail market, from fashion and jewelry to sportswear and home
goods. TFG’s expansive reach and variety of offerings have solidified its
reputation as a leader in the retail industry.
TFG’s history is marked by continuous
growth and innovation. From its early days of selling fashion apparel, the
group has diversified its brand portfolio and expanded its market presence
through strategic acquisitions and store openings. In the 1980s, TFG went
public on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, further boosting its financial
capabilities and market reach. Over the decades, TFG has embraced technological
advancements and modern retail strategies, including e-commerce and
omni-channel retailing, to stay competitive and meet evolving consumer demands.
This forward-thinking approach has enabled TFG to maintain a robust growth
trajectory and adapt to changing market conditions.
The TFG YES Learnership Programme is
a testament to the group’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainable
development. By partnering with the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative,
TFG aims to tackle the pressing issue of youth unemployment in South Africa.
The program provides unemployed young South Africans with valuable work
