Minimum Requirements for This Bursary

For Undergraduate - Honours Bursary:

·         Applicant must hold South African citizenship and be committed to pursuing full-time enrolment in their chosen degree program at a public university within South Africa.

This criterion underscores the program's commitment to supporting local talent and advancing education within the nation.

·         Proficiency in English at Level 5, Mathematics at Level 6, and Physical Science at Level 6 is required. This proficiency requirement ensures that applicants possess a strong foundation in essential subjects relevant to their field of study, enabling them to succeed academically.

For Current University Students:

·         Applicants must be South African citizens, intending to enrol full-time at a South African university for the academic year 2024. This stipulation emphasizes the program's focus on supporting the educational aspirations of South African citizens and fostering their continued academic growth.

·         Applicants must have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered during the previous study period at the university. This requirement reflects the program's dedication to supporting students who demonstrate academic commitment and excellence, ensuring that bursary recipients are making satisfactory progress in their studies.

For both Masters and Doctoral bursaries, candidates must be South African citizens and exhibit the following qualities:

·         Proficiency in scientific writing, demonstrating the ability to articulate research findings effectively and concisely in written form. This skill is vital for disseminating research outcomes and contributing to the academic community's body of knowledge.
