Who is eligible for the Northam Zondereinde bursary?

Northam Platinum has established specific criteria for the bursary program. All applicants must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for funding. It cannot grant every applicant because there is a limited number of bursaries available. It will reject applicants who do not meet all criteria. Make sure to double-check your application before you submit.

For the Northam Zondereinde bursary programme 2022, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • *Be a citizen of South Africa
  • *Completed Matriculation
  • *You are either pursuing or will be pursuing a qualification in any of the above-mentioned fields
  • *You are either enrolled in or have been provisionally accepted to a tertiary institution (University of Technology or University of Science and Technology) that is accredited and recognized
  • *Have a strong academic record
  • *Score at least 60% in Matric overall
  • *If you are currently studying a qualification at the higher tertiary levels, have at least 60% overall in all major subjects

However, fulfilling all criteria does not guarantee funding. Thabazimbi residents and those from the surrounding areas will be preferred. Students from the whole of South Africa are welcome to apply. Because funding offers are customized according to the needs (costs) of the recipient, they will differ.
